On 5th October we welcomed local Year 6 children and their families to look around Willowfield School at our annual Open Evening. Our wonderful students acted as hosts and tour guides for the evening, offering a warm welcome and expert insight into what it is like to be a part of the Willowfield community. Each department showcased the work they do and our guests were invited to experience a little of Willowfield life – whether that was playing volleyball, taking part in a scientific experiment, tasting the wonderful food made by students in food technology or enjoying the music being played and sung in the atrium! Our knowledgeable and caring staff were on hand to discuss the curriculum and how we make sure our students are ready to compete with anyone, anywhere at the end of their secondary education. There were two packed talks in the assembly hall where Ms Linden shared her vision and passion for Willowfield school with families and children, and where they also had the opportunity to hear from two students; one near the start of their time at Willowfield and one near the end. We could not have been prouder of their eloquence and positivity.
We will also be holding an open morning on Tuesday 17th October at 9.00am – 9.45am for any families who were not able to attend the Open Evening or who would like to also visit the school on a normal school day. Please contact the school if you wish to visit during the open morning.
