Admissions for Year 7 September 2027
All parents/carers of all children born between 1 September 2014 and 31 August 2015 must apply for a secondary school placement for them to start school in the academic year September 2027.
All Primary to Secondary Year 7 Applications must be made through the local authority where the child lives. For children living in Waltham Forest, families must apply via the London Borough of Waltham Forest eAdmissions service.
For children who live outside of the borough may still apply but will need to use the admissions process for the borough where they live.
National closing day for applications Friday 31st October 2026 11:59pm. Applications received by a borough after this deadline are considered late applications.
Before submitting a Year 7 application we strongly recommend all families read the Autumn 2026 edition of the local authorities guide Starting Secondary School 2027 and find out information about the schools you are interested in. Our borough has a wonderful range of schools to choose between, and it is important you find a school that is a good fit for your child. Open evenings can be a helpful way of learning about schools.
